Welcome to part 3 of my Toxic Free Beauty series. In PART ONE we discussed why I decided to put together this series due to my own personal illness and what toxins in beauty products can contribute to. In PART TWO, we discussed Toxic Free Skincare recommendations and how you can still have an indulgent experience when doing you skincare whilst eliminating toxins.

I have been on a mission since this series idea popped into my head to research and find you some amazing toxic free beauty brands. I must admit, there are not very many especially in the makeup world I am afraid but fear not there are toxic free makeup brands albeit only a few, I have managed to get my hands on some of them for you.

Now most of us do not wear makeup on a daily basis, some of us do. Though the main reason those that aren’t daily makeup wearers wear makeup is to feel better about ourselves. It brings back some confidence and enhances our natural beauty. It is self-indulgent and enjoyable. I love to sit and paint my face especially if I am going somewhere nice and how it makes me feel after is rewarding. Who doesn’t want to feel pretty?

Eliminating toxins from your beauty routine doesn’t mean you have to eliminate makeup when there are some amazing brands out there. You can still paint your faces pretty and not worry about the side effects of toxins flaring up your chronic illnesses or causing you any pain or inflammation.

Let’s get down to why you are all here – The recommendations.

Be Radiance

Be Radiance a French born band, have an ethos of health makeup for all. A diverse brand that keeps their products talc, silicone and fragrance free and derived from high percentages of natural ingredients. Their products are suitable for all skin tones and contain skin loving ingredients such as probiotics, so you really get the most out of wearing them. Beauty from the inside out.

I actually tried their foundation when it launched. It has a light to medium coverage with a gorgeous fresh cucumber scent and is mattifying but not drying so particularly amazing if you have oily skin like me although it is suitable for all even sensitive skin types. Available in 17 shades, due to its light coverage these shades cover a wide range of skin tones as it doesn’t need to be an exact skin tone match.

I have also used their powder dos which consist of powder/blush/ highlighter and available in many combinations. These are made with 95% natural ingredients and completely free from anything harmful.

Also available from the brand is a primer and face oil.

Foundation RRP £26.00

Powder duos RRP £29.00

La Perla

Originally known for their exquisite lingerie, La Perla now also has an equally exquisite beauty range. Whilst their makeup range is still very capsule with lip and eye products only, they have done an incredible job with the range as it is absolutely stunning. If you like you makeup as pretty as your lingerie you will adore their brand. The lipstick casing is so luxurious and would look amazing on anyone’s vanity. Expensive looking colours of red and gold with a satisfying magnetic soft close. I always feel that if a product looks luxurious and beautiful it brings me even more joy to use it.

La Perla have made their products environmentally friendly and with clean formulas. They pride themselves in making sure their customers are confident that they are aware of what they are putting into their body when using their products is kind to you.

The lipsticks come in wearable shades of red and nude in formulas of matte silk (a nourishing matte finish) and satin lip balm (a sheer moisturising balm).
