Spring Blushers

Yesterday (Saturday 20th March) marked the start of Spring here in the UK. The daffodils are blooming, the warmer air is making our locked down weekend walks more pleasant and the trees are in blossom. Spring definitely is the prettiest and most colourful season.

As the seasons change so does my choices in make up as I start to make my face look more colourful, bright and cheery with brighter lips and cheeks. The warmer months when your skin becomes sun kissed and the sun rays are out more often, makes this the best opportunity to play around with pinks, peaches and corals, also adding more shimmery colours that really play with and reflect light so when the sun hits it makes you ooze radiance.

Nars have quickly become one of my most favourite makeup brands over the last 12 months and their award winning blushers are so gorgeous. Really highly pigmented to give an intense colour. The blush powder blends beautifully and can be as natural or as intense as you like as you build up the intensity. You can even layer mattes and shimmers to give highlight to the cheeks or cheek bones. I chose this particular shade as it has a gorgeous coral colour with gold shimmer through. Team with a bronzer with it to give that golden bronze/ coral look which is my signature makeup style through the warmer months. As you can see this colour wants your cheeks to be noticed!

Hourglass powders are to die for and became the first brand that I fell in love with when it came to powder finishes. Their blushers are a marbled hybrid with both colour pigment and ambient lighting powder giving each one a unique blend and the perfect balance of colour and radiance.
