JUNOCO – Brand Review

JUNOCO are based in Northern California and are an innovative inclusive brand making skincare formulas that are not only sustainable but also suitable for all skin types with a minimal approach.

JUNOCO are working hard to keep their brand simple, gentle and effective by factoring in some key guidelines they follow when creating their products which is currently a small capsule collection.

Brand Ethos –

• Keeping their INCI list to a maximum of 10 ingredients. This keeps the gentle formula potent and free from unnecessary fillers. This also stops microplastics and other ingredients that are not planet or ocean friendly from disturbing the ecosystem.

• Upcycling ingredients. This is using the ingredients that would usually go to waste, repurposing them and finding a way they can be effective in our skincare.

• All packaging is both reusable and recyclable and their outer boxing is made from FSC Certified materials.

• All products are cruelty free.

The brand has a super luxurious look and feel about it, yet their products have an affordable price point. I really loved how they have paid attention to the current trend of aesthetic and minimalistic and incorporated this in to their brand look for an ultra Instagrammable appearance which of course I am here for.

Currently the brand has a capsule collection of skincare products and beauty tools such as sponges and their viral beauty blenders to choose from that are available for a very affordable price. I have been super lucky to try a couple of their products  and I would love to share with you my experience. The most perfect cleansing ritual. You will, I am sure adore to.

Clean 10 Cleansing Balm

The most softest cleansing balm to oil cleanser that emulsifies to milk with water. It honestly is absolutely gorgeous to use. So gentle on the skin and has a pleasurable scent of orange derived from their Californian tangerines.

The product is the perfect first cleanse to lift away makeup, dirt and SPF from the skin living it feeling hydrated and happy with its star ingredient being Japanese Barley which contains Vitamins, Minerals and antioxidants to help regulate the skins melanin production which helps with pigmentation and the overall brightness of the skin.

Clarifying Cleansing Powder

This was unlike any other cleanser I have tried before. The formula is made from upcycled ingredients (rice lees). Once the rice lees powder mixes with water the granules dissolve straight into a foamy cleanser that is not gritty at all. You can immediately feel how moisturising the soapy formula is.

Ingredients include Papaya Enzyme, Rice Powder and Hyaluronic Acid to gently exfoliate away dead skin cells and hydrate to leave your skin feeling hydrated and looking brighter, plumper and more youthful. It really does everything it says on the tin!

Cleansing Cookie

Like little clouds. These little babes are beautifully soft makeup removing pads which can be used alongside your cleansing balm to take the day off your face. Also great for wiping away other products such as masks.
