June 2021 Beauty Favourites

June was quite the month! Summer arrived, it only lasted two weeks mind you, but still I got that much needed Vitamin D and natural colour to my cheeks. Sunshine and warmth feeds my soul with happiness, such a mood lifter!

With the change in weather, there was a change in beauty regimens. I switched heavy moisturisers for gel formulas as they work so much better with my oily skin, my makeup coverage got lighter, I switched up my scents to ones that are suited to summer and having more skin on show and sunbathing sessions in the back garden meant my body SPFs got to come out to play.

Unfortunately the weather didn’t stick around and its been grey and rainy ever since the sun went away so my routines have switched again, but we will touch upon that in July.

For now ……. Here are my June 2021 Beauty Favourites.

Tom Ford Soleil Blanc

Think coconuts in paradise. This scent for me is summer in a bottle, reminds me of holiday every time I spritz it. As soon as I smelt this I knew it was made for me. Even my husband who I got to blind test this so he knew nothing of the brand, and definitely not the price (lol) said this is you to a tee. At that it was mine, though his eyes watered slightly when he learnt of the cost. It most definitely is a high end brand with a high end price but for a treat or a gift it is so worth it! I have had mine for three years now and still have half a bottle left. You don’t need much and if not wearing daily you can get a long life out of it.

RRP £164 50ml for 20% off making it £131.31 shop HERE – use code LFTFNICOLAL

Chanel Les Beiges Water Fresh Tint Shade (Medium)

This product is more skincare than makeup but I absolutely love it. I love a barely there makeup look and in the hot sun the more naked my skin is the better. This product just gives a touch of barely there even coverage leaving your skin looking bare with a natural, luminous glow. It also comes with a brush applicator but bearing in mind its water texture I find the brush absorbs too much product so I apply with my fingers to avoid wastage.

The product comes in 8 shades.

RRP £50.00 Available from Chanel, Feelunique, John Lewis & Boots

Sol de Janeiro Ipanema Sunset Glow Oil (now named Rio Sunset)

This product is absolutely beautiful and I always get asked what I have on my skin whenever I wear this.

It’s a light weight oil that does not transfer with a gorgeous golden illuminator that gives a beautiful golden goddess glow to your skin. I like to apply this to my arms, legs and chest when I am going out out! It also has the beautiful classic scent of their cult bum bum cream which I am also a fan of. Leaving you looking like you have been in the Brazilian sun and smelling like a summer shnack!

RRP £35.00 75ml - for 20% off making it £27.99 shop HERE – use code LFTFNICOLAL

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Sun Lotion SPF30

This is one of my fave suntan lotions. It has a unique water resistant, moisturising formula that stops your skin from drying out in the sun leaving it luminous and hydrated. It also has a gorgeous tropical scent that gives all the summer feels. Available in factors 50, 30 and 15.

RRP £7.00 180ml available from Boots, Superdrug, Feelunique and Amazon

Bare Minerals Gen Nude Blonzer Shade (Kiss of Copper)

Glowing, bronze cheeks with a copper glow is my signature summer makeup look. So when I saw this product I knew I had to have it! The product is a bronzer, blusher and highlighter in one, giving a full cheek look in one sweep. Flattering for all skin tones and also multi use as you could totally use this on your lids too.

Available in three shades – Kiss of copper, Kiss of Pink and Kiss of Rose

RRP £24.00 for 20% off making it £27.99 shop HERE – use code LFTFNICOLAL

Sunday Riley Tidal *

A brightening enzyme water cream. The perfect gel texture for a refreshing application that matched well with my oily skin. This product is packed with amazing ingredients to hydrate, smooth, plump and restore your skin to leave it with a more supple, dewy and youthful appearance.

Key ingredients include –

Hyaluronic Acid

Papaya Enzymes

Glycerin

Alpha Arbutin

Giant White Brid of Paradise Extract (plant)

I absolutely love how this moisturiser makes my skin look and feel.

RRP £60.00 50g Available from Cult Beauty, Space NK, John Bell & Croyden & Asos

Filorga C Recover *

Vitamin C is a staple in my AM routine I am never without it so I was intrigued to try this new launch from Filorga. A preserved vitamin C powder released into the serum to activate.

The product contains 3 10ml vials of ultra concentrated Vitamin C to create radiant, younger looking skin. I have been using for three weeks every morning and am so impressed with how much brighter my skin looks. I wish I had taken before and afters (rookie error) but seriously my skins looking amazing. Vitamin C also protects the skin from external aggressors and I have definitely noticed my skin less inflamed and no breakouts, not even stress related ones.

RRP £62.00 30ml available from Feelunique

I hope you enjoyed this round up of favourites.

See you next month for more.

Kisses
